Welcome to Homegrown Connections,
Homegrown Connections strives to help individuals with developmental disabilities and their families connect with suitable Support Workers. We hope to create a match (or matches) that can last a lifetime. We invite individuals and their families to browse through our "Meet Our Workers" page to find a personality that you believe will be a good match for you and your family. From there we will connect you through phone or email and help you along the process of hiring your own worker.

Please note: We do not pay or schedule our workers for you. You are required to discuss with and provide payment directly to your worker. If you require assistance in applying for monetary funding to help you pay for your workers please visit our "Helpful Resources" page for more information. ​

Please note that we encourage all our workers to have valid Police Record Checks and to keep up to date on their trainings (CPR, NVCI, etc.), but it is ultimately you (as their employer) to ensure all their documents are up to date going forward. When we interview and meet with potential workers we ensure they have ideal qualifications, but our workers are considered self employed and therefore responsible for keeping their certifications up to date.

We do our best to connect you with the best match for you and your family, but after the initial connection we are no longer responsible for that worker. We encourage you to meet with them and then decide if you think they will be a good fit. You are not required to use that worker if you do not see a connection. We are happy to help you again if things don't work out. We also ask that you keep us up to date on how things are progressing as well as if you have any concerns.
