Homegrown Connections is actively forming a team of dedicated individuals interested in starting an Intergenerational Intentional Community. This model of "intentional neighboring" is something that many of us could benefit from, now and as we age. It is the ideal neighborhood for those with developmental disabilities, as well as families, students and seniors. It's all about coming together as a community to help each other out through the struggles, transitions and celebrations of everyday life.

If you are interested in learning more about this exciting project, Lisa Murray will be hosting a presentation on June 11th and you are invited to attend!

The meeting will be taking place in the upstairs room at Brown's Your Independent Grocer in Stittsville beginning at 1:30pm. For more information, please see the following poster.

FUTURE PLANS

Making connections and friendships is lifelong. At Homegrown Connections we want to help you stay connected for years to come! Homegrown aims to assist adults in making their own unique plans and activities according to each individual's interests. This includes assistance in finding jobs, volunteer opportunities, exercise schedules, social recreation activities, etc. etc. We aim to find a way in which each individual can create their own life plan and daily schedule. We also plan to offer assistance to individuals in acquiring their ideal housing environment (more to come on this - stay tuned). Please read below for more information. We appreciate your feedback so please feel free to send us an email at homegrown.connections@gmail.com.
